Ukrainian and US delegations meet in Paris: Main goal identified

Delegations from Ukraine and the United States met in Paris today, April 17. The team of US President Donald Trump is determined to work towards ending the war in Ukraine, according to a statement from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and US Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg.
US Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg noted that he was pleased to be in Paris with the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
"Very productive meetings at Elysee Palace on efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia war," he added.
Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State stated that he had come to Paris with one goal.
"Arrived in Paris with one goal in mind: secure real, practical solutions to end the Russia-Ukraine war. Along with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, our main objective is to carry out President Trump’s goal to end this war and stop the unnecessary bloodshed," Rubio emphasized.

Memorandum between the US and Ukraine
Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine and the US could sign a memorandum today, April 17, as part of a minerals deal.
According to him, the Ukrainian side has already given its consent, and now Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko is working with the American side on the text.
