Ukrainian and US Defense Ministers to hold meeting at Pentagon on Tuesday
Ukrainian and US Defense Ministers, Rustem Umerov and Lloyd Austin are set to meet at the Pentagon on Tuesday. Discussions will focus on enhancing partnership, announces Sabrina Singh, Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of Defense.
"Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will visit the Pentagon tomorrow to meet with Secretary Austin," Sabrina Singh reported.
She noted that this visit underscores the US's steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and security.
According to a representative of the US Defense Department, the parties will discuss bilateral defense cooperation, regional security issues, and ways to strengthen the defense partnership between the US and Ukraine.
At the NATO summit in Washington, the Alliance plans to appoint a coordinator for long-term aid to Ukraine.
Earlier, it was reported that according to Mike Turner, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee of the US Congress, he advocates for a broader use of American weapons on Russian territory.
