In the US, there is support for a broader use of American weaponry for strikes on Ukraine targeting Russian territory, reports Ukrinform.

In particular, this position was expressed by the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee of the US House of Representatives, Mike Turner.

"My position is broader than that of the administration. I believe Ukraine should have the ability to use the weaponry provided for current military objectives," he said during a briefing as part of a bipartisan delegation visit to Kyiv by the US Congress.

Mike Turner noted that his position aligns with that of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"Ukraine should not fight with one hand tied behind its back. It should have the ability to respond to attacks from Russia," the congressman said.

At the same time, he pointed out that a problem exists with the increased production of Russian weaponry. Turner believes that military force should also be an option to address this issue.

"One of the problems we have is the increase in production of weapons coming from Russia. It's a mathematical problem, and I think military force should be an option to address it," concluded the congressman.

It should be noted that a group of Democrats in the US House of Representatives has called on the Pentagon to train more Ukrainian pilots on F-16s.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine is preparing steps to increase losses among Russian forces in terms of equipment and logistics.
