Ukrainian and Lithuanian architects created project for new school, kindergarten
A new educational institution will be built in Bucha (collage: RBC/Ukraine)
Ukrainian and Lithuanian architects have collaborated on a project to create a new school and kindergarten in Bucha. The construction project is estimated to cost 18 million euros, with the participation of Lithuanian investors. This will be a state educational institution for 880 children, according to the Ukrainian design studio Martins Architecture & Design Studio.
What is known about the project
"We present an important project for us - an educational institution in Bucha. It will consist of a school and kindergarten. Our team at Martins has been entrusted with designing the interiors, while the architectural work is being done by the Lithuanian studio 2L Architects in collaboration with Ukrainian architects from BAUST architects," write the project's authors.
The main challenge of the project is to create a space that is gender-neutral and does not hinder children from following their own path of development.
"When designing the educational institution, the team of architects focused on its primary function - education, and followed the principles of logical interior design," the announcement stated.
The total area of the facility will be 14,600 square meters.

Last year, due to the actions of Russian forces during the occupation of Bucha, several educational institutions suffered significant damage. At that time, three schools were unable to complete repairs before the start of the school year, while the rest of the 13 institutions began the educational process on schedule.
