Ukrainian Air Force provides update on F-16 training progress

In general, there are three stages of training for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters. In addition, engineers and mechanics are also trained, says Illia Yevlash, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The training process is continuous and consists of three stages:
- ground training;
- training on light aircraft;
- training on F-16s.
In particular, engineers and mechanics who will provide maintenance of these aircraft are undergoing training.
"We are expecting the final stages of training to be completed by our pilots, who have already completed the required number of hours," he adds.

According to the head of the Center for Military Legal Studies, Oleksandr Musiienko, 14 F-16 fighter jets will be delivered to Ukraine this year. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the first planes would arrive shortly.
Politico noted that Kyiv has begun to put pressure on its European partners, as well as the United States, to step up efforts to train pilots for the F-16.
