Ukrainian Air Force downs Russian war aircraft

On Wednesday, July 8, the Ukrainian military shot down a Russian aircraft, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
"Good news from the Air Force! Today, we eliminated another Russian air terrorist!" the Ukrainian military says.
On the night of July 5, Ukrainian drones struck the Hvardiiske military airfield in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Russian troops use this facility for combat sorties, logistical support, and aircraft maintenance.
Also, on the night of June 26, a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet was destroyed during a Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) drone attack on the Belbek airfield.
In addition, on July 3, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) drones attacked the Saky military airfield for the second time that week and struck hangars at the Hvardiiske airfield on the occupied peninsula.
According to available data, 7 hangars at the Saki airfield were hit; these hangars housed aircraft, including Su-30SM and Su-30 fighters and Su-24 front-line bombers.
According to preliminary information, at least 7 Russian aircraft were destroyed or damaged as a result of this operation.
