Two Russian Shahed strike drones were destroyed over the Khmelnytskyi region on the evening of December 14, thanks to the efforts of air defense forces and systems. No casualties were reported from the enemy airstrike, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.

Closer to midnight, the official shared in his Telegram channel that during Saturday's air raid siren, air defense forces destroyed two Russian Shahed UAVs.

The regional military head noted that there had been no reports of injuries, deaths, or property damage at that time and thanked the Ukrainian defenders.

The air raid siren was sounded in Khmelnytskyi region around 10:30 PM (Kyiv time) and lasted for almost an hour.

Another air raid alarm was also declared in the region in the early hours of December 15. It lasted about twenty minutes (from 0:28 to 0:57 AM). In both cases, the threat was due to Shahed drones, with enemy UAVs detected moving toward the region.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of Russian kamikaze drones toward the city of Starokostiantyniv.

Local news outlets and Telegram channels in Khmelnytskyi shared information about air defense operations in the region, the movement of Shaheds toward Polonne and Netishyn districts, and the maneuvering of Russian UAVs near Starokostiantyniv.

Russian Shahed attack

As a reminder, an air raid alert was declared across most of Ukraine's regions on the evening of December 14 due to the launch of Shahed drones by Russian forces.

By the early hours of December 15, the number of red zones on the alert map had decreased. However, the threat from kamikaze drones remained in central regions, with Shahed movement detected in the Black Sea area toward the Mykolaiv region.
