Russian forces once again attacked Ukraine overnight, employing a combined approach of kamikaze drones and missiles. The air defense system successfully downed 9 out of 10 Shahed drones and one Iskander-K missile out of five.

On the night of November 21, occupiers attacked Ukraine from the southeast direction of Prymorsko-Akhtarsk (RF) with 10 combat UAVs of the Shahed type. Additionally, the Russians launched 4 guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 in the Donetsk direction and one ground-based Iskander-K cruise missile from the area of the occupied Dzhankoi (Crimea).

"As a result of the combat actions by the forces and means of the Air Force, 9 enemy Shahed-131/136 drones and one Iskander-K cruise missile were destroyed," the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Particularly, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, the air defense system destroyed the enemy missile precisely over this region in the evening.

Volyn region

The air defense system also shot down Shahed drones in the Volyn region.

"Regarding the night air alert: according to the military, a Shahed drone was destroyed in the Volyn region. There were no casualties, the situation is under control," said Yurii Pohuliayko, head of the regional military administration.

Details of the attack on the Volyn region have emerged later.

"At 2:30-2:40 AM, an unidentified flying object arrived outside the city in the direction of Kovel and exploded. This information came from representatives of the military and the State Emergency Service," said Ihor Palionka, head of the city of Volodymyr.

As of 9:00 AM, the police and the State Emergency Service were working to identify the object and assess the likely damage.

"No one was injured. It was up to 1-1.5 kilometers from the city," he said.

Shelling of Ukraine

On the night of Tuesday, November 21, explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region, with the air defense system operating in the region. Prior to this, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of the threat of drone attacks in the Khmelnytskyi region.

In the morning, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that Russian forces had launched 11 Shahed drones and 5 missiles of two types into the territory of Ukraine overnight.
