Ukrainian 3rd Assault Brigade conducts stabilization efforts in Kharkiv region
3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is conducting stabilization operations after a counterattack in the Kharkiv region. The soldiers gained a foothold, according to Oleksandr Borodin, the brigade's spokesperson.
He notes that as a result of the operation, the positions, and logistics of the Russian army were destroyed.
“Stabilization actions are currently underway. In general, the positions have been consolidated. The situation is quite stable. One of the successes is that we were able to keep the Russian army from further plans and opportunities for development,” the spokesperson says.
According to him, the Russians wanted to advance toward Makiivka or could have transferred personnel, forces, and means to other frontline areas. Currently, the Russian occupants are trying to restore some of their positions and build a new defense line.
“Therefore, it is extremely important from a military point of view. It is even more important than territories. Because from a military point of view, the destruction of forces and means and the violation of plans is often a more important success than the liberation of territories, if we speak in military terms,” Borodin explains.
When asked whether the 3rd Assault Brigade operation was related to the Kursk offensive, Borodin says it was a “synchronized success.”
He adds that despite the losses suffered, the Russian army still has large reserves in this area. However, they may be ineffective because of the damage to logistics.
“They have built such a system that they hardly ever run out of reserves if we are talking about infantry reserves. A large number of artillery and fpvs. The number and scale are on their side. But the plans are broken, logistics are broken, and the number sometimes does not work as an advantage if the logistics are not working well or the plans are broken,” the spokesperson says.
Background
The other day, the deputy commander of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Maksym Zhorin, said that the soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade had conducted a counterattack in the Kharkiv region.
Later, the brigade's press service confirmed that the 3rd Assault Brigade had advanced almost two square kilometers into the front. The Ukrainian defenders withdrew Russia's attack from the direction of Makiivka and relieved tension in other critical areas of the front.
The attack aircraft took control of the Russian occupiers' battalion defense area, platoon, and company strongholds.
