After concluding negotiations on EU membership, Ukraine will be three steps away from becoming a full-fledged member of the European Union, according to Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

According to him, these three steps will be:

1. The European Commission's conclusion on the successful completion of negotiations and Ukraine's compliance with membership criteria;
2. The decision to sign the Agreement on Ukraine's accession to the European Union;
3. Ratification of the agreement by the parliaments of EU member states and Ukraine's acquisition of full membership in the EU.

Kuleba also said that Ukraine's accession to the EU would be an event of global significance for Europe.

"Tomorrow will be the inaugural part, then there will be six clusters of negotiations that will open and close. Specialists in the relevant fields will work to align Ukraine's legislation with EU standards," the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

A few days earlier, Dmytro Kuleba said that Ukraine had set a record on the path from applying for EU membership to starting negotiations. The journey, lasting a little more than two years, was faster than that of any candidate country in history.

Previously, RBC-Ukraine reported that Ukraine is ready for Russia's participation in the second Peace Summit but does not want direct contact with the Russian Federation. Dmytro Kuleba allowed for a participation format similar to the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
