A Ukrainian company Yartura has unveiled a new interceptor drone with a maximum speed of 450 km/h and built-in protection against enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems, according to the company’s press service.
The new unmanned system is called Dancer 4.5.0. The interceptor drone within this system, with an operational speed of up to 450 km/h, is equipped with an artificial intelligence-based automatic target tracking module.
The drone has a maximum target engagement altitude of up to 4.8 km and a range of up to 30 km. The system features an automatic target tracking system (ATTS), allowing it to re-engage a target if the first attack attempt fails.
Notably, the system is capable of automatic takeoff, navigating to the target area based on detection systems, and independently identifying potential targets using its autonomous tracking module. This reduces crew workload during missions.
High automation also shortens operator training time and simplifies the deployment of new units. The minimum crew for the system consists of three people — a pilot, a guidance operator, and a driver-sapper.
The company also notes that thanks to LTE-based control, a single operator can simultaneously operate several interceptor drones.
