Ukraine under attack by Russian Shaheds

Russian forces have launched Shahed strike drones against Ukraine. Air raid alerts have been declared in several regions, and air defense systems are actively operating, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukraine’s Air Raid Alert Map.
The first hostile drones entered Ukrainian airspace at around 9:00 PM Kyiv time, moving from the north of Chernihiv and Sumy regions toward the south and southwest.
As of 10:58 PM Kyiv time, Russian Shahed drones were reported moving along the following routes:

a new group in the northern Chernihiv region, heading south;

in the southern Chernihiv region, heading toward the Kyiv region;

in the eastern Poltava region, moving southward;
-
over the Cherkasy region, heading south/southwest.
At 11:14 PM Kyiv time, an air raid alert was declared in the city of Kyiv. Military sources reported an approaching UAV heading toward the city from the east.
At 11:24 PM Kyiv time, a new group of strike drones was detected in the northern Chernihiv region, moving southwest.
As of 00:37 AM Kyiv time, Russian attack drones were moving:
- in the north of the Chernihiv region toward the southwest;
- in the north, center, and south of the Sumy region toward the south;
- in the Poltava region heading south;
- in the north and south of the Kyiv region heading west;
- in the north of the Vinnytsia region toward the west;
- in the Kirovohrad region toward the Vinnytsia region.
At 01:34 AM Kyiv time, the military reported new Russian UAV activity approaching Kyiv from the east.
As of 02:05 AM Kyiv time, groups of Russian Shahed drones were moving:
- in the Kharkiv region toward Dnipropetrovsk region;
- in Dnipropetrovsk region toward the south/southeast;
- in the Zaporizhzhia region toward the city;
- in the Kirovohrad region heading east;
- in the south of the Kyiv region toward the Zhytomyr region;
- in the central Chernihiv region heading south.
As of 02:47 AM Kyiv time, Russian drones were moving:
- along the border of Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions heading west;
- in the Zaporizhzhia region heading north.
At 03:36 AM Kyiv time, the Air Force announced the all-clear for the threat of Russian attack UAVs across the regions.

Russian strikes on Ukraine
During the night of Sunday, June 15, Russian forces launched 183 Shahed drones at Ukraine from five directions, along with cruise and ballistic missiles.
The heaviest strikes and destruction were reported in the city of Kremenchuk and several settlements in the Poltava region.
Meanwhile, Russian forces are reportedly planning further attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. This information has been relayed to the IAEA and Steve Witkoff, the US President’s special envoy to the Middle East.
