Within the next two months, Ukraine will receive the first batch of the Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers promised by Germany. This time, six units will be delivered, according to Stern.de.

At the beginning of the month, Germany announced a joint aid package for Ukraine, which included 12 Panzerhaubitze 2000 howitzers.

"I think six of them will be delivered within the next eight weeks," Pistorius said.

He emphasized that Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine highlights the crucial role of artillery on the modern battlefield.

"Ground forces can hardly operate without effective and rapid artillery support," the Minister noted.

Aid from Germany

Germany has remained one of Ukraine's strongest partners since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Last month, the German government provided Ukraine with a new military aid package, which included the IRIS-T system and a Bergepanzer 2 recovery vehicle.

The full list of aid provided can be found in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
