Ukraine to receive record aid from Ramstein group: Amount announced

During today’s meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), allies announced the support for Kyiv amounting to more than 21 billion euros (23.85 billion dollars), UK Defense Secretary John Healey says during the event.
"The new assistance within the framework of the Ramstein group, announced today (April 11th - ed.), exceeds 21 billion euros. This is record support in military aid to Ukraine," said Healey.
Ramstein meeting
The Ramstein meeting refers to regular gatherings of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, which brings together dozens of countries from around the world. The first such meeting took place back in 2022 at the American air base Ramstein in Germany, which gave the format its name. The purpose of these meetings is to coordinate military aid to Ukraine in the war against Russia, to discuss defense needs, weapons supplies, military training, and long-term support.
Participants of the Ramstein group include NATO countries, the European Union, and other partners of Ukraine. These meetings have become a key platform for decision-making on the provision of tanks, air defense systems, artillery, and other types of weapons.
Today, another Ramstein meeting is taking place at NATO headquarters. As previously reported, Ukraine will receive a new military aid package from Germany.
