Ukraine to get new tools to strike deeper into Russia - German FM

Ukrainian troops will soon be able to influence the territory of Russia. However, the type and timing of the new weapons transfer are being kept secret, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul says
"Undoubtedly, Ukraine has the right to defend itself against attacks. It will also have the opportunity to influence the territory of Russia, but we will not disclose to Putin through your agency what weapons systems we are supplying to Ukraine," Wadephul says.
According to him, equipping Ukraine with new weapons systems today is not a financial problem, but rather a matter of accessibility and production capabilities for Ukrainian and European enterprises.
Germany's assistance to Ukraine
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Germany has been providing Kyiv with large-scale military, financial, and humanitarian assistance.
For example, Berlin has provided modern weapons, including IRIS-T air defense systems, Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, Leopard 2 tanks, armored vehicles, cars, ammunition, and other military equipment.
Earlier, it became known that in 2025 Germany will allocate 9 billion euros for military assistance to Ukraine. Part of it will be used to purchase long-range weapons.
At the same time, it was reported in June that the German Ministry of Defense was short almost a billion euros. This money was intended to provide military assistance to Ukraine. The ministry assures that everything is fine, but German MPs are surprised.
