Ukraine to check all military medical commissions decisions since war started: Zelenskyy signs decree

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the checks of military medical commissions findings since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, according to the decree of the Ukrainian state leader.
"The decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated August 30, 2023, 'On Military Medical Commissions in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,' is put into action," the document states.
The oversight of such checks will be carried out by the Secretary of the NSDC, Oleksii Danilov.
Checks of the military medical commissions decisions
On August 30, another meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine took place where one of the main topics of discussion was the work of military medical commissions.
Participants agreed to launch verifications of the decisions made by these commissions on disability and unfitness for military service, made since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, as they may contain corruption.
Special working groups will be responsible for conducting these checks. According to the NSDC decision, ministries, other central authorities, regional administrations, and the Kyiv City State Administration have been tasked with forming these groups.
