Ukraine survived large-scale Russian attack, brother and sister killed in Kyiv - Zelenskyy

Ukraine experienced another large-scale Russian attack on the night of April 24. In Kyiv, a brother and sister were killed due to an enemy shelling, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports.
"This morning, our country went through a new Russian attack, a large-scale one, more than 200 aerial targets. These were missiles, including ballistic ones, and strike drones. Unfortunately, there is destruction, there are casualties in the capital and other cities," the Ukrainian President said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that due to the Russian terror in Ukraine, more than 80 people were injured and there were killed victims.
"In Kyiv, among the dead are a brother and sister. The boy was 21, the girl was 19. My condolences to everyone. Rescue operations are still ongoing," the Ukrainian President stated.
Zelenskyy shortened his visit program to South Africa due to the Russian attack. However, as the President noted, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs remains in South Africa to show respect and carry out all the planned meetings.

That night, the Russian army launched 70 missiles and 145 drones at Ukraine. Russian forces used ballistic missiles, some of which were shot down by air defense units.
Kyiv was under enemy fire, and the consequences of the attack were recorded in several districts of the capital. The Sviatoshynskyi district was hit the hardest. A local residential building was partially destroyed due to a missile strike.
According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, the deaths of eight people have been confirmed. The ninth victim, previously reported, is the body fragments discovered. People may still be trapped under the rubble. Due to the Russian attack on Kyiv, 77 people were injured, including children.
