Ukraine strikes Russian Geran drone control relay in occupied Crimea

Ukrainian drones struck a relay used to control Geran drones in Crimea and other important Russian facilities in the occupied territories, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the following targets on the night of August 12:

A ground relay used to control Geran/Gerbera attack drones near Olenivka, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea;

An enemy repair unit near Mariupol in the Donetsk region;

A concentration of personnel from an unmanned systems unit of the Russian forces near Marivka in the Luhansk region.
The General Staff noted that striking these facilities weakens the enemy's ability to control attack drones, maintain military equipment in operational condition, and support the activities of its units.
Ukraine's latest strikes on Russia
The Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a Russian naval base in Novorossiysk on the night of August 12, the last major stronghold of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea.
Palianytsia jet-powered drones, Neptune missiles, and unmanned maritime systems were used against the designated targets. Hits on air defense positions, piers, and seaport infrastructure were confirmed.
The fire at the port was detected by NASA's satellite system, which tracks fire outbreaks and assesses their environmental impact. The images showed thermal anomalies at several locations in Novorossiysk.
It is known that the Russian Demetra Holding grain terminal in Novorossiysk suspended operations after the overnight Ukrainian drone attack.
