Ukraine strikes Russian crossing, warehouses, and other key military targets

On the night of August 5 and the day before, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck several key Russian targets—drone command posts, a crossing point, and a military equipment depot, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Drone command posts were destroyed in three regions
Ukrainian troops struck Russian drone command posts in several areas at once:
- Mali Shcherbaky in the Zaporizhzhia region
- Kostiantynivka and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region
- Zelene Pole in the Donetsk region
- Volfino in the Kursk region of Russia.
Separately, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck another Russian command post—near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.
Russia lost crossing point and depot of military equipment
Ukrainian defenders also struck a crossing over the Mokri Yaly River near Vesele in the Donetsk region. Russia used this facility for military logistics—the movement of personnel, weapons, and supplies.
In addition, Ukrainian troops struck a depot of Russian supplies in Ishun in annexed Crimea.
Background
On August 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in an evening address that in July, the Ukrainian Defense Forces had killed and seriously wounded more than 30,000 Russian soldiers using drones.
According to him, this trend on the front lines remains unchanged and repeats itself every month.
Meanwhile, on the night of August 5, Russia's Tula region came under attack, where a massive fire broke out at a Wildberries warehouse.
Local authorities have not officially commented on the situation.
