Ukraine strikes Russian Black Sea Fleet ship near Novorossiysk

In the Black Sea waters near Novorossiysk, Ukrainian forces tracked down and disabled a Russian Black Sea Fleet ship. The enemy has only four of this type, says Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR).
The attack took place on September 10, 2025.
According to intelligence officers, in the Black Sea area, special forces of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence successfully tracked and struck another high-value military target of the aggressor state — a vessel of the MPSV07 multifunctional ship project belonging to Russia's Black Sea Fleet.
The ship was commissioned by Russia in 2015.
Its value is estimated at about 60 million dollars, and the aggressor's fleet has only four such vessels. The MPSV07 is equipped with modern diving complexes, remotely operated vehicles, a side-scan sonar, and electronic reconnaissance systems.
At the time of the strike, the Russian ship was patrolling and conducting electronic reconnaissance near the Novorossiysk bay, where remnants of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are stationed.
According to HUR, the Ukrainian combat drone hit the command bridge, where navigation and communications equipment are located.
As a result of the attack, electronic reconnaissance equipment was destroyed, and the vessel was disabled and now requires costly repairs.
HUR operations
Recently, Ukrainian special forces carried out a successful raid in the Black Sea. As a result, they destroyed an enemy BL-680 boat, a Harpoon-B radar, and a Groza electronic warfare system.
Earlier, during another Black Sea operation, a Ukrainian naval drone broke through to Novorossiysk bay, where the remnants of the Russian Black Sea Fleet are based.
Due to the detonation of the drone, a group of five elite Russian combat divers who attempted to recover and study it were killed.
In addition, in the Sea of Azov, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Buyan-M small missile ship, a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles. The hit was captured on video.
