Ukraine strikes Ilsky oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar region

In the Krasnodar Krai of Russia, on the night of September 25–26, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Ilsky oil refinery. A fire was reported on the refinery’s premises following the strike, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“On the night of September 26, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Ilsky oil refinery in the Ilsky district of the Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation; a fire was reported on the refinery’s premises,” the statement reads.
What is known about the Ilsky oil refinery
The Ilsky refinery has a total refining capacity of approximately 6.6 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The facility receives, stores, and refines crude oil, as well as produces and ships petroleum products.
According to the General Staff, the refinery’s products are used, in particular, to meet the needs of the Russian armed forces.
The General Staff noted that strikes against such facilities aim to reduce Russia’s military and economic potential.
Ukraine is exercising its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
This refinery has already been targeted by Ukrainian drones on multiple occasions. The facility was struck in August, after which a fire broke out there. At the same time, the Syzran oil refinery was also attacked.
Another strike on the Ilsky oil refinery occurred on the night of July 10. Overall, the facility has been attacked repeatedly over the past few months.
