Ukraine strikes four Russian ships in Novorossiysk

Four enemy warships in Novorossiysk sustained varying degrees of damage overnight on August 12, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Ukraine damages Russian naval vessels
As part of a joint operation, Ukrainian Defense Forces units struck the Russian naval base in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai.
According to preliminary information, the following vessels were damaged:
- two Project 11356 frigates, the Admiral Makarov and Admiral Essen;
- the Project 21631 Buyan-M small missile ship;
- the Project 22160 Vasily Bykov patrol ship.
Strikes on Russian warships
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that overnight on July 18, Ukrainian Defense Forces units struck a number of Russian military and military-economic targets, including a Project 10410 Svetlyak patrol ship in Kerch.
In addition, Ukrainian drones struck 13 substations in occupied Crimea and four Russian shadow fleet vessels in the Black Sea overnight on July 19.
Ukrainian naval drones also destroyed another 12 Russian shadow fleet vessels in the Black Sea on July 17. Over the 12 days of Operation MoLoChKa, the total number of vessels hit increased significantly.
Back in September 2025, the Ukrainian Navy struck a communications hub of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in occupied Crimea.
