Ukraine sends AI drones to the frontline: How they will be used
Ukrainian military received nearly 2,000 drones with artificial intelligence. They will assist in conducting reconnaissance and identifying targets for strikes, according to Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov.
He explained that the Autel EVO MAX 4T drones were purchased through the Army of Drones state program.
Thanks to these drones, Ukrainian soldiers will be able to safely conduct reconnaissance, and adjust artillery fire. Drones can even locate well-camouflaged enemy positions with the help of artificial intelligence.
"Artificial intelligence automatically identifies various types of targets, tracks them at high altitudes, and transmits data. Then, combat drones and artillery come into play," the minister clarified.
Fedorov reminded that the combat units of the Army of Drones continue to set new records. Last week only, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 220 enemy military vehicles.
Drones for the Ukrainian military
Ukrainian military regularly receives drones as part of the Army of Drones project. At the end of September, over 1,700 drones were sent to the frontlines, including secret UAVs that have already shown results on the battlefield.
