The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is scaling up the production of anti-drone ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Defense Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has standardized anti-drone ammunition from several Ukrainian manufacturers, and they are ready for mass production.

"Thanks to anti-drone ammunition, the Ukrainian military will be able to counter Russian FPV and Mavic drones. Their special feature is a special combat unit, which significantly increases the chance of shooting down a Russian drone," Shmyhal says.

He adds that no special weapons are needed for such ammunition—it can be loaded into standard weapons.

"We are working to ensure that even more new and effective weapons appear in the arsenal of our military, strengthening their combat power and Ukraine's defense capabilities," the Minister of Defense emphasizes.

Ukraine has increased the production of interceptor drones

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that by the end of November, Ukraine would be producing 600-800 interceptor drones per day. However, Russian strikes could interfere with these plans.

In turn, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal promised to soon reach a level of 1,000 interceptor drones per day. According to him, this is Ukraine's response to the Russian attacks.

In addition, the United Kingdom will sign an agreement with Ukraine on the joint development and production of advanced military equipment. It facilitates the exchange of technologies that will strengthen the national security of both countries.

Ukraine has also recently begun producing interceptor drones in cooperation with the US.

Ukraine is currently working on countering Russian guided aerial bombs. To this end, several companies are developing special interceptor drones.

In addition, Ukrainian engineers have created inexpensive interceptor drones that have already shot down hundreds of Russian Shaheds.
