Ukraine's Security Service shows prisoner exchange
Another exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and Russia took place today. Ukraine returned 103 defenders at once, reports the Security Service of Ukraine.
"This is the result of the work of the Joint Center for the Coordination of the Search and Release of Prisoners of War, which implemented the decision of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War," the SSU emphasized.
The service emphasized that the life of every Ukrainian is of the highest value.
"We are working to fulfill the order of the President of Ukraine and return every Ukrainian from captivity," the SSU summarized.
Today, September 14, Ukraine returned more than 100 Ukrainians from Russian captivity. This is the second exchange in the last two days.
According to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the released persons include 82 privates and sergeants and 21 officers. These are the defenders of the Kyiv, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Luhansk regions, as well as Mariupol, Zaporizhzhia, and Azovstal. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, border guards, and law enforcement officers returned home today.
23 soldiers of the Azov Brigade of the National Guard are among those released today.
