Ukraine's secret waterfalls: Untouched beauty tourists rarely visit

There are hundreds of waterfalls in Ukraine, but most tourists only go to Shypit or Probiy. In reality, quiet and equally beautiful waterfalls are hidden in different corners of the country, where one can be alone with nature.
A selection by RBC-Ukraine highlights waterfalls that still remain "in the shadow" of mainstream routes.
Zhenetskyi Huk Waterfall (Ivano-Frankivsk region)
The waterfall is considered one of the most famous in the Carpathians, but most people reach it via Bukovel, which turns the route into a "tourist highway."
However, there is an alternative path — from the village of Mykulychyn. There are far fewer people here, and the road passes through the truly wild Carpathians. It's perfect if you want to experience the place differently.

Laznyi Waterfall, Lviv region
This waterfall can be found only by those who truly search for it — literally. It is located near the village of Dovhe in the Drohobych district and is hidden among forests.
Stone boulders, damp moss, and a complete lack of infrastructure make the place look like a scene from The Lord of the Rings. Just you, nature, and water.
Smotrytskyi Waterfall, Kamianets-Podilskyi district
Kamianets-Podilskyi is famous for its fortress, but few know that there is a waterfall nearby. The Smotrych River forms a canyon with cascades — a quiet location rarely visited by tourists. If you want to see a different side of Kamianets, this is the place to go.

Bukovynskyi Waterfall, Chernivtsi region
This is not a single waterfall, but a series of six (!) located in the Putyla district. There are no clear signs, no cafes, and no entrance fees. Only those who truly want to see the "wild Carpathians" come here — and they are never disappointed. One of the most atmospheric locations in the region.

Ardan Waterfall, Ivano-Frankivsk region
Small but very picturesque, the Pistynskyi (or Ardan) Waterfall is hidden in the forest near the village of Pistyn. It's easy to reach — but almost no one knows about it.
A cozy spot for those who want to escape people without spending half a day on the road.
