Ukraine`s paratroopers showcase destruction of Russian columns in Kursk region
Ukrainian paratroopers in the Kursk region are destroying Russian military equipment, turning entire enemy columns into scrap metal, the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report.
The video showcases the operations of the 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Bukovyna Airborne Brigade. According to the Ukrainian military, another column of enemy equipment was reduced to scrap after being struck.
In the footage, paratroopers are seen disabling several pieces of equipment. Following the strikes, the enemy’s armored vehicles burst into flames.
The crew of the destroyed vehicles attempted to escape and hide nearby.
Battles in Kursk region
Ukrainian forces launched an operation in the Kursk region nearly six months ago, in early August 2024. The Defense Forces managed to take control of about a hundred settlements; however, during Russian offensives and counterattacks, some territories were lost.
Nevertheless, battles in the Kursk region continue. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 13 combat clashes occurred in the Kursk direction over the past day.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained that the Kursk operation was a preemptive measure, as Russia was preparing an offensive on the Sumy region.
Russia has involved North Korean troops in combat operations in the Kursk region. Ukrainian forces have captured their first prisoners from North Korea.
