Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces hit a Russian Tor M-2 air defense missile system worth $27 million, their press service states.
The report notes that the 9A331M2 Tor M-2 is capable of firing on the move without stopping, has an increased ammunition capacity, and is equipped with modern missiles that provide an extended zone of destruction and enhanced accuracy.
According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, the cost of one unit is approximately $27 million.
Ukraine's unmanned systems forces
Ukraine became the first country in the world to create a new branch of the military - the Unmanned Systems Forces. In June, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the decree establishing Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces within the Armed Forces.
Vadym Sukharevskyi was appointed as the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, and he reported that Ukraine has more than 165 different types of developments that are being tested and used on the battlefield.
Tor M-2 air defense missile system
Tor-M2 is a Russian short-range air defense missile system designed to hit various aerial targets at short distances. Its main task is to protect military and strategic sites from attacks by aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, drones, and precision-guided weapons.
The system is equipped with its own radar and electro-optical detection system, allowing it to operate independently.

- Target types: Capable of hitting aerodynamic targets (aircraft, helicopters, UAVs), as well as ballistic and cruise missiles.
- Range: Up to 15 km.
- Destruction height: From 10 m to 10 km.
- Target speed: Can destroy targets traveling at speeds of up to 700 m/s.
- Number of tracked targets: The system can simultaneously detect more than 40 targets and engage up to 4 of them.
- Reaction time: Less than 5 seconds.
- Missile type: 9M338K or similar.
