Special Forces of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine with the support of a unit of the State Border Guard Service conducted a raid off the coast of Crimea. During the raid, Russian troops and their equipment were destroyed, according to the Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Kovalenko, and other sources.

In the afternoon, a blogger and volunteer Ihor Lachenkov published a post on his Telegram channel in which he described a DIU raid off the coast of Crimea on September 11. He also attached a video with footage of the raid.

During this raid, losses were inflicted among the personnel and equipment of the Russian occupiers. An enemy Su-30SM was also destroyed by MANPADS. The DIU officially announced the destruction of the Russian aircraft a few days earlier.

Later, Kovalenko posted the same video on his Telegram channel. He added that the DIU's operation in the Black Sea had destroyed the Russians' equipment.

An intelligence source spoke to RBC-Ukraine and confirmed the information about the raid in the Black Sea.

The operation was carried out by the fighters of the special unit “Tymura” of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine in cooperation with the Viking Maritime Center, Group 13, Quasar, Rex, and Agregat groups, with the support of the Dozor unit of the State Border Guard Service.

On September 11, social media reported that a Su-30SM, which was firing missiles toward Ukraine, had disappeared in the Black Sea. Later, the DIU reported that the plane was destroyed by the Ukrainian military using man-portable air defense systems.

In a commentary to RBC-Ukraine, military expert Oleh Katkov called the destruction of the plane over the Black Sea a unique event. Read more about the uniqueness of the Su-30 downing in our article.
