Cyber experts from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) conducted a large-scale operation in hostile cyberspace dedicated to HUR Day, sources say.

According to the sources, on the morning of September 7, Ukrainian cyber experts launched DDOS attacks on Russia's network infrastructure, which provides online payments for fuel, in particular, the operation of Rospetrol fuel cards.

Among the targets attacked were the advanced payment systems platform and the servers of Rostelecom and Lukoil.

As a result of the operation, Russia suffered losses amounting to between $1 million and $3 million.

On the same day, a cyberattack was also launched on the information and communications infrastructure of the telecommunications operator K-Corp.

Ukrainian hackers disabled more than 700 switches and 13 servers at two K-Corp data centers, completely halting its operations. The company was targeted because it provided services to Russia's Kalashnikov Concern.

In addition, dozens of online resources were attacked, with greetings on Ukraine's Military Intelligence Day appearing on their home pages.

As sources in the HUR emphasized, work to destroy the information and communication infrastructure of companies that contribute to Russia's war will continue until the de-occupation of Ukrainian territories.

Cyberattacks against Russia

Earlier, cyber experts from HUR attacked one of the largest private Internet service providers serving Russian security forces.

Hackers from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine struck Gazprom, which is involved in supporting Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

Cyber experts also attacked the Russian company Gaskar Integration. It is one of the largest suppliers of drones to the Russian army.
