Ukraine's General Staff responds to rumors of occupation of two villages in Dnipropetrovsk region

Rumors about the occupation of the villages of Zaporizke and Novoheorhiivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region are false. Ukrainian forces continue their defense, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Situation around Zaporizke
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian soldiers have stopped Russian advances near Zaporizke.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to control the village of Zaporizke, despite all the enemy’s attempts to capture it," the military command added.
Situation around Novoheorhiivka
The General Staff also noted that active fighting is ongoing near Novoheorhiivka.
"Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the enemy, destroying dozens of occupiers every day," it said.

The General Staff stressed that rumors of the occupation of these settlements "are not consistent with reality."
Rumors online
Earlier, DeepState analysts updated their interactive map. According to the new data, Russians allegedly control Zaporizke and Novoheorhiivka, located near the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops, told RBC-Ukraine that Russian soldiers entered the two villages and are trying to consolidate there. However, he did not confirm an occupation.
