Russia-Ukraine talks in Türkiye

On the night of May 11, Vladimir Putin rejected a proposal to stop hostilities but declared Russia's readiness to resume talks with Ukraine on May 15 in Istanbul. In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian side was not opposed to starting a dialogue with Moscow, but stressed that a ceasefire should be a precondition.

Subsequently, Türkiye officially confirmed its readiness to mediate the planned meeting.

Also, US Special Representative Keith Kellogg emphasized that the possibility of negotiations would only be possible after the ceasefire was implemented.
