Ukraine’s Flamingo missile is far cheaper than Tomahawk - Fire Point

The Flamingo cruise missiles, produced by the Ukrainian defense company Fire Point and successfully used in long-range strikes against Russia, are several times cheaper than the American Tomahawk, according to The Guardian.
Cost of Flamingo
It is known that the Flamingo costs just under $600,000, while the price of the American Tomahawk is about $3.5 million, according to Fire Point's CEO, Iryna Terekh.
In other words, producing a Flamingo costs Fire Point almost six times less than a Tomahawk, which is manufactured by the American company Raytheon.
The Ukrainian company produces about 100 Flamingo missiles per month. This cruise missile is capable of carrying a warhead weighing over a ton and has already been used for strikes on military targets in Russia.
According to the head of the defense company, one of the missions involved a flight of about 1,800 kilometers along a complex route, which became one of the longest flights for a cruise missile of this type.
Other weapons from Fire Point
Iryna Terekh added that the domestic manufacturer also produces hundreds of long-range FP-1 and FP-2 drones daily, which have also been repeatedly used in attacks on enemy targets in the aggressor country. This refers, in particular, to strikes on oil refineries.
The CEO of Fire Point also emphasized that the Ukrainian defense industry has significantly increased the production of high-tech weapons in recent years. Currently, the company has 83 production sites in Ukraine and one more in Denmark, with a workforce of about 6,000 employees.
In addition, the manufacturer is working on creating its own ballistic missile and is also participating in the development of the European air defense system Freyja, which is intended to become a cheaper alternative to the American Patriot systems.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine expects to complete the development of its own missile defense system FREYJA in the first half of 2027.
Also recently, footage appeared online of the launch of the Ukrainian Flamingo missile, which hit an important target of the Russian military-industrial complex.
