Ukraine's drone forces take out 1.5 Russian battalions for every fallen comrade

Madyar's Birds brigade has lost 79 service members during the full-scale war. At the same time, during its latest rotation in eastern Ukraine, the defenders killed or wounded more than 50,000 Russian troops, according to Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, commander of the 414th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS).
Unit's losses and Russia's losses
The 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade Madyar's Birds lost 79 service members—both brothers-in-arms and sisters-in-arms—over the 4.5 years of Russia's full-scale invasion.
At the same time, during the unit's two-year rotation on the eastern front, from July 21, 2024, to the present, its fighters have eliminated 50,336 Russian troops:
- 29,023 killed (200)
- 21,313 wounded (300).
"That's 637 shredded or maimed enemy troops for every single Bird—the equivalent of one and a half battalions of the horde's assault troops and infantry at the cost of each Bird's life, or the full assault force of 22 enemy brigades," the commander stressed.
Honoring the fallen
Robert Brovdi published the call signs of all the brigade's fallen defenders.
He emphasized that the updated record of enemy losses is maintained daily, while every morning the fighters honor the memory of each fallen brother-in-arms.
Strikes on targets in Russia
Notably, Ukrainian forces continue to systematically strike strategic targets across Russia.
In particular, overnight on August 26, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck one of Russia's largest oil refineries, Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, where a massive fire broke out after explosions.
Also, on August 24, Ukrainian drones struck dozens of important enemy targets. The strikes hit a MiG-29 fighter jet, a rocket fuel plant, four radar stations, and Russian army drone bases.
