Ukraine's drone experience goes global: Swarmer joins US AI defense project

Autonomous drone software developer Swarmer will integrate its drone swarm management technology with SpatialCore, a US platform developed by Brightline Interactive, Swarmer said.
Partnership details and new capabilities
Under the signed memorandum of understanding, Swarmer will provide its proprietary drone swarm coordination software, which has already been tested in real combat conditions. US-based Brightline Interactive will integrate these algorithms into its SpatialCore platform.
This will make it possible to combine data from different types of drones and accelerate artificial intelligence training for the Pentagon.
The cooperation will cover several areas:
- AI data collection: The integration of the systems will make it possible to use operational data from different UAV models, including drones made by manufacturers that have not previously worked with Swarmer.
- Joint research: The companies will conduct joint R&D projects to accelerate artificial intelligence development and create a unified operational environment.
- Access to US contracts: Brightline will use its contract mechanisms and ties with the US Department of Defense to promote the joint solutions.
According to Swarmer President Alex Fink, combining the technologies will provide access to data from millions of missions, allowing AI models to be trained much faster. Brightline President Tyler Gates said the partnership would help provide military customers with a more comprehensive picture of the operational situation on the battlefield.
Swarmer's combat experience
Ukrainian-American company Swarmer develops technologies that allow a single operator to control an entire group of autonomous UAVs. The drones are capable of coordinating their actions in the air and distributing tasks independently.
Since April 2024, the company's software has supported more than 100,000 real combat missions in the combat zone in Ukraine.
