On the night of December 6, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces successfully struck Russian targets, hitting the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant and, once again, the Ryazan oil refinery, reports Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces.
"Madyar" shared a video showing a "deep penetration" operation by the Birds of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
"Ryazan oil refinery. That 'refinery spot' was lit up once again by the Birds of the 1st Separate USF Center, the 9th Battalion 'Kairos' of the 414th Separate Brigade of Madyar's Birds, and colleagues from Defense Intelligence," he wrote.
The Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in the Russian-occupied part of the Luhansk region was also struck. The plant produces casings for Russian shells.
During the full-scale war, the Ryazan oil refinery has been targeted nine times. It is one of Russia's largest refineries, located approximately 500 km (310 miles) from Ukraine.
The Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant is located in the city of Alchevsk, Luhansk region, which has been occupied since 2014.
Earlier, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed an attack on the Ryazan oil refinery infrastructure. Reports indicated a strike on the low-temperature isomerization unit. The refinery produces gasoline of various grades, jet fuel, and diesel fuel, and it supplies the Russian military.
Regarding the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant, a hit was recorded in the oxygen workshop, which currently produces casings for enemy shells.
Strikes across the Alchevsk plant were already reported on local social media a day earlier.
