Two months after the DELTA system was implemented at all levels of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 130,000 destroyed and damaged enemy targets have been verified, 25% of which are enemy personnel, according to Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.

“The order to implement DELTA gave the Armed Forces a legal basis for its widespread use,” Shmyhal said.

According to him, the system has undergone a number of updates during this time, including expanded automatic reporting and analytics. Now, the military can transmit data on detected targets at a distance of more than 20 km from the line of combat, as well as use DELTA for logistics missions with the help of ground-based robotic systems.

The minister added that DELTA is gradually transitioning to a “data-driven warfare” concept, where analytics and battlefield information help make critical decisions.

A series of updates to the technology for automatic detection of equipment using artificial intelligence has already been implemented - recognition accuracy reaches 70%, and the average detection time is only 2.2 seconds.

"Today, DELTA, helping the military to act faster, more accurately, and more coherently, has become a real digital weapon. This is an example of Ukrainian innovation that is changing the battlefield and setting new standards for partners," Shmyhal concluded.

About the system

DELTA is the combat digital ecosystem of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, providing a technological advantage on the battlefield.

It allows real-time monitoring of the situation, planning of operations, exchange of data between units, brigades, and groups, and, if necessary, with allies.

The system works on laptops, tablets, and smartphones, making it convenient for commanders at all levels. DELTA has been tested for information security and has proven its effectiveness in real combat conditions — during the defense of Kyiv in 2022, the destruction of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, the liberation of Zmiinyi Island, and the de-occupation of Kherson.

Currently, the system helps to hit more than 2,000 enemy targets every day. Over the course of a year, it has verified more than half a million destroyed and damaged objects. DELTA is constantly being improved — recently, an artificial intelligence platform was added to it, which automatically detects enemy equipment online.

Use of DELTA

In August, Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal signed an order to implement the DELTA combat system at all levels of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

DELTA was used during joint exercises between Ukraine and NATO. The integration was carried out in accordance with the new NATO standard, STANAG 4817.

Earlier, Shmyhal stated that the Ukrainian DELTA combat system became the main control platform for the joint team of participating countries in the NATO REPMUS 2025 exercises, coordinating more than 100 naval, underwater, ground, and air drones.
