Ukraine's Defense Minister urges allies to make quick decisions on providing Ukraine with air defense systems
Ukraine needs quick decisions from allies regarding the provision of additional air defense systems, states Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
"Our defense capabilities are still insufficient. We need quick decisions by our Allies to provide additional weapons to protect the skies and the civilian population. We need more air defense systems," he stated.
He added that the authorities continue to work to ensure that the promised systems from partners arrive in Ukraine as soon as possible.
"We are looking for opportunities to receive additional systems," the minister emphasized.
Missile strike on Ukraine on July 8
On July 8, Russian forces carried out another act of terrorism against Ukraine, launching missile strikes on several peaceful cities. According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over 40 missile launches of various types were recorded.
Kyiv was one of the main targets of the enemy attack. Significant destruction was reported in seven districts of the city. One of the enemy missiles hit the children's hospital Okhmatdyt.
According to the latest data, the attack in Kyiv resulted in 10 deaths and 35 injuries.
Additionally, in Kryvyi Rih, the missile strikes caused 10 deaths and 42 injuries.
