Russian losses on the Tavria front amounted to nearly three companies of military personnel in a day. Russian forces attempted to advance in the areas of Maryinka and Avdiivka, while on the Zaporizhzhia front, they are trying to hinder the advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction reports.

"On the Tavria front, the enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, as well as actively defending positions in the Novopavlivka, Vremivka, and Orikhivka directions," the report says.

Avdiivka and Maryinka directions

The occupiers carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards Pervomaiske and in the area of Maryinka. They launched airstrikes in the areas of Avdiivka, Severne, Krasnohorivka, Prechystivka, Blahodatne, and Makarivka.

Meanwhile, units of the defense forces liberated the village of Rivnopil in the Donetsk region.

Zaporizhzhia direction

The Russians are concentrating their main efforts in the Zaporizhzhia direction to prevent the advancement of Ukrainian troops. They conducted airstrikes in the areas of Levadne and Oleshky and carried out artillery shelling of 15 settlements.

Enemy losses

The missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction carried out 1,024 fire missions during the day. The enemy's losses in terms of killed and wounded amounted to nearly three companies. Sixteen enemy military vehicles were destroyed.

Ukrainian counteroffensive

Ukrainian military forces have been conducting counteroffensive operations on the front line for three weeks. During this time, they liberated nine settlements. Yesterday, it was announced that the village of Rivnopil in the Donetsk region had returned under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to advance in the east, covering a distance of 1 to 2 kilometers on each of the directions. Since the beginning of the counteroffensive, they have already liberated an area of 130 sq km in the south. Compared to the previous week, the number of shellings on the eastern fronts has increased. According to the minister, the enemy's casualties in the past week were eight times higher than those of the Ukrainian forces.
