The Ukrainian brand of headwear and accessories, Ruslan Baginskiy, has made a significant step in the global fashion industry by opening a pop-up boutique at the legendary Parisian department store, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann. Here is why this event serves as a powerful cultural message from Ukraine to the world.

How Ruslan Baginskiy is conquering Paris

The Ukrainian designer has made an unprecedented move in the global fashion industry by decorating 12 iconic windows at the legendary Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann.

This large-scale project, which runs from July 8 25 to August 25, is the first such achievement for a Ukrainian brand abroad and is part of the official program of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.

The founder of the brand, Ruslan Baginskiy, doesn't hide his pride, as his team transformed the most popular windows of Galeries Lafayette into art installations.

In the very center of Paris, where around 27 million visitors come annually, Ukrainian design now shines.

A distinctive detail of the facade design was a huge banner in blue and yellow colors, covering 140 square meters, symbolizing Ukrainian presence and resilience.

"It's a great honor to be among those invited for a takeover like this. We all know how hard it is to create right now. This project came to life through incredible effort. But we also know how important it is. Because it means — we exist. Thank you, everyone!! Slava Ukraini! More to come! " said Ruslan, emphasizing the symbolic nature of the event, which coincides with the tenth anniversary of the brand's existence.

More than just windows: pop-up and shop-in-shop

In addition to decorating the windows, Baginskiy also opened his pop-up boutique and a shop-in-shop store within Galeries Lafayette.

This allows visitors not only to enjoy the visual aesthetics but also to purchase the brand's products, which is an important commercial step.

Ukrainian design on the international stage

The inclusion of the Ruslan Baginskiy project in the official program of Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is a landmark event for the entire Ukrainian fashion industry.

According to Iryna Danylevska, co-founder and head of the organizing committee of Ukrainian Fashion Week, this underscores the significance of Ukrainian design on the international stage.

Why the opening of the Ruslan Baginskiy boutique in Paris is important

Ruslan Baginskiy became the first Ukrainian brand to realize such a large-scale project at Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann.

This opens doors and serves as an example for other Ukrainian designers, proving that the domestic fashion industry is capable of competing and taking a place on the world's runways.
