Ukrainian troops from the 1st Corps Azov of the National Guard unit carried out strikes against Russian logistics in the area of the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol.

The unit reveals a video showing combat operations on the Mariupol–Taganrog highway (one of the key supply routes for Russian forces in the south) and the Mariupol–Volnovakha highway.

"The territory of Ukraine must be free of Russian troops. The most reliable way to achieve this is to move the sanitary zone for Russian logistics closer to Russia itself and the occupied Crimea," the statement reads.

The unit notes that pilots are already carrying out missions to strike targets near the Russian border.

"There will be no more safe Azov region for the Russian troops," Azov emphasizes.

Russian troops are attempting to establish a foothold in Mariupol through new infrastructure. In particular, the so-called Donetsk People's Republic authorities plan to launch a direct rail connection between Mariupol and Donetsk by the summer of 2026.

The official cover is preparation for the resort season, but the real goal is to create a logistics corridor for troop movements and the removal of equipment.

Drones recently attacked the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol. A Russian ammunition depot came under fire, after which explosions began.

Ukrainian Defense Forces have recently significantly intensified medium-range strikes and operations to block airspace over the temporarily occupied territories. As a result, Russian logistics have become significantly more difficult.
