Russian troops have once again spread false information about the alleged capture of the town of Rodynske in the Donetsk region. The settlement is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov.
According to Ukrainian defenders, the Russian troops advanced only to the outskirts of the city, where they were destroyed by units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"They only control the ammunition of a few infantrymen who entered the outskirts of the city," the report says.
In a video released, the crew of an armored personnel carrier from the Jaguar battalion of the Chervona Kalyna brigade destroys a group of Russian infantrymen holed up in abandoned buildings in the city.
"The Chervona Kalyna fighters continue to clear the city of Russian troops. A search and elimination of all those who want to raise the tricolor on Ukrainian soil is underway," Azov writes.

Situation on the front
The losses of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction continue to grow. In September alone, they increased by almost 30%. 1,851 Russian soldiers were eliminated in the defense zone of the 7th Assault Corps last month.
Despite significant losses, Russia continues to attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses. An active defensive operation is underway in the direction, during which the Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back Russian assaults and inflicting losses on them.
At the same time, Ukrainian units are conducting stabilization and counter-sabotage measures in the Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region, both directly in the city and its surroundings, as well as along the front line.
According to updated information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration and on the Ocheretyne section remains difficult: Russian forces have a numerical advantage and continue to intensify their offensive actions.
