French President Emmanuel Macron states that Europe will not abandon Ukraine and will consider Kyiv's request for an additional €70 billion in defense funding, according to France24.

"We will indeed be looking at the funding. The funding that will be provided by the G7 countries, by our partners and, of course, by the Europeans," Macron says.

The French leader also notes that Europe is working to provide Ukraine with assistance in the areas of satellite imagery and early-warning systems, as tensions with the US have highlighted Kyiv's dependence on American technology on the battlefield.

"We are working hard to help Ukraine strengthen its ability to defend itself through satellite imagery and early-warning systems, which are much needed," he says.

On October 16, at a meeting of the European Council, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine needed Europe to allocate at least €70 billion for the country's defense in 2027. He explained that Vladimir Putin planned to spend more and more money on the war, and that next year the war would cost Ukraine €155 billion.

Recently, Elon Musk's American company SpaceX limited the operating speed of Starlink terminals in Ukraine. According to media reports, Musk himself approached US President Donald Trump with this idea, and the American leader supported it.
