Ukraine returns 19 more children from occupation
Ukraine has successfully repatriated anther 19 children from temporarily occupied territories, according to Mykola Kuleba, the director of the Save Ukraine project.
"Save Ukraine's team has managed to evacuate 19 Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories as part of the 12th rescue mission," he said.
Kuleba emphasized that Save Ukraine has now successfully brought home a total of 196 Ukrainian children.
Deportation of Ukrainian children
Since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, Russia has unlawfully relocated thousands of Ukrainian children, either holding them in Russia or in occupied territories. Additionally, the Kremlin has encouraged Russian citizens to adopt Ukrainian children and simplified the process of granting Russian citizenship to them.
In the case of the deportation of Ukrainian children, the International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
Recently, Ukraine was able to repatriate 11 children from Russia who were unlawfully deported by occupiers.
