Ukraine returns 14 children from occupation: One of them is 2.5 months old
Ukraine has managed to return another 14 children from temporarily occupied territories. Among them is at least one infant, according to Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, on Telegram.
"Another 14 children have been returned from temporarily occupied territories," he wrote.
According to Yermak, several families with children were returned as part of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's initiative, Bring Kids Back UA. They were evacuated from temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
The Head of the Office of the President specified that the ages of the returned children range from 2.5 months to 16 years.
He explained that the families being evacuated had to undergo forced documentation processes daily, along with constant searches and threats of having their children taken away.
Yermak emphasized that the return of Ukrainian children remains a priority.
What preceded this
Ukraine regularly manages to return children from occupation. Specifically, on August 27, it was reported that five families with eight children had returned from occupation.
Additionally, on August 22, it was reported that six Ukrainian families with 12 children had been returned from occupation.
