The work to reunite families was carried out in collaboration with the Human Rights Commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament, Dmytro Lubinets, as part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's approved plan, Bring Kids Back UA.

"The return took place with the assistance of the state of Qatar. Ukraine thanks its partners for their help," adds the head of the Office of the President.

He notes that efforts continue to fulfill the president's task of returning deported and forcibly displaced children.

Deportation of children from Ukraine

Russian occupiers have repeatedly deported Ukrainian children to Russian territory.

Last year, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, as he was involved in such deportations.

In January of this year, Dmytro Lubinets, the Human Rights Commissioner of the Ukrainian Parliament, reported that our country had managed to return a total of 517 children by that time.
