Ukraine repels massive Russian assault in Siversk direction, reveals enemy losses
Ukrainian forces repelled a massive Russian assault in the Siversk direction on December 14. The occupiers suffered significant losses, reports Khortytsky Wind.
On December 14, the enemy made eight assault attempts in the defense zone of the Edelweiss mountain assault brigade, the report states.
According to the military, all enemy attacks were repelled with devastating losses for the opponent, including:
- 52 occupiers eliminated
- 37 wounded
In addition, Ukrainian forces destroyed four BMPs, 13 motorcycles, four buggies, one MT-LB vehicle, 28 FPV kamikaze drones, a 120 mm mortar, one piece of automotive equipment, and a kamikaze drone named Privet 82.
Situation on the frontline
On December 14, a record was set on the front line in Ukraine for the number of enemy attacks in a single day. Ukrainian forces recorded 292 combat engagements. The enemy launched the highest number of attacks in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, Siversk, and Kursk directions, with each of these areas experiencing no fewer than 50 attacks.
Specifically, in the Siversk direction, the enemy carried out strikes using bombers. Ukrainian defense forces repelled 55 enemy assaults near Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, Spirne, Vyimka, and Berestove.
Meanwhile, according to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War, Ukrainian forces managed to regain previously lost positions near Vovchansk.
