Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 15

On December 14, Ukraine saw an unprecedented number of attacks on the front lines. Ukrainian forces recorded 292 combat clashes, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Over the past day, 292 combat clashes were recorded along the entire front line," the report states.
Hottest combat areas
- Ukrainian defenders repelled 52 enemy attacks of varying intensity in the Pokrovsk direction, in the areas of the settlements Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Sukhyi Yar, Zelenе, Pishchane, Petrivka, Shevchenko, Novotroitske, Ukrainka, and Novoolenivka. At the same time, the enemy carried out strikes with assault and bomber aircraft in the areas of Stara Mykolaivka, Nova Poltavka, and Hrodivka.
- Over the past day, in the Kurakhove direction, the Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near the settlements Sontsivka, Stari Terny, Zoria, Kurakhove, Lysivka, Yelizavetivka, Hannivka, and Uspenivka, where, with the support of aviation, the occupiers attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 50 times.
- The enemy carried out bombing strikes on the Siversk direction. Ukrainian defense forces repelled 55 enemy assaults near Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, Spirne, Vyimka, and Berestove.
- In the Kursk direction, 57 combat clashes occurred over the past day. Additionally, the enemy carried out 15 aerial strikes, dropping 23 guided bombs, and conducted 380 artillery attacks on settlements and Ukrainian positions.
Situation on other frontline sections
Using bomber and assault aircraft, the enemy attacked near the settlement of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made three attacks over the past day. Ukrainian forces stopped all enemy assault attempts near Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 15 enemy attacks near the settlements of Pershotravneve, Zelenyi Hai, Kopanky, Novoserhivka, Nadiya, Makiivka, Druzeliubivka, and Terny.
On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses once near the settlement of Chasiv Yar.
Using bomber aircraft near Toretsk, the enemy made five unsuccessful attempts to push Ukrainian forces out of their positions.
The enemy actively used aviation in the Vremivka direction, where Ukrainian forces repelled 37 enemy attacks in the areas of Trudove, Veselyi Hai, Kostianynivske, Rozdilne, Novyi Komar, Velyka Novosilka, Storozhove, Makarivka, and Novoandriivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy carried out airstrikes with unguided rockets targeting the Huliaipole area.
In the Orikhiv direction, Mala Tokmachka, Novopavlivka, and Robotyne were hit by 15 guided bombs from enemy aircraft.
The enemy carried out airstrikes with unguided rockets on the Mykolaivka area in the Prydniprovskyi direction. Additionally, the enemy attempted three assaults on Ukrainian positions but achieved no success.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained stable, with no significant changes. No signs of enemy formations for an offensive grouping were detected.
Russian losses in Ukraine
Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 1,280 Russian soldiers. The occupiers also lost 12 tanks, 32 armored combat vehicles, 26 artillery systems, 3 multiple rocket launchers, 2 air defense systems, 127 operational-tactical UAVs, 2 cruise missiles, 181 vehicles, and 4 units of special equipment.
