Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 15: +1,280 troops, 12 tanks and 2 anti-aircraft warfare systems
Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 1,280 Russian occupiers in the past 24 hours. Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 12 tanks, 32 armored vehicles, 26 artillery systems, 3 multiple rocket launch systems, and 2 anti-aircraft warfare systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 15, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 762,440 (+1,280) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,551 (+12) units;
- armored personnel vehicle - 19,675;
- artillery systems - 21,128 (+26);
- MLRS - 1,256 (+3);
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,025 (+2);
- airplanes - 369;
- helicopters - 329;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 20,256 (+127) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,943 (+2);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and tankers - 31,398 (+181);
- special equipment - 3,648 (+4).
Earlier, in its evening update on December 14, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 276 combat engagements had already taken place on the frontline since the start of the day.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces noted that Russian occupiers had launched intensive assaults on Ukrainian defenders' positions in three directions in the Donetsk region, and provided information about active fighting in the Kursk region.
