Ukraine receives second batch of Patriot missiles from Spain
Ukraine has received the second batch of Patriot anti-aircraft missiles from Spain, which arrived in Ukraine on Friday, June 21, citing El Mundo.
At the Ramstein meeting in May, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles announced that the Patriot system is part of an important shipment delivered in June this year.
Besides the Patriot missiles, the shipment includes a second batch of Leopard battle tanks, various types of ammunition including 155-mm artillery shells, drone defense systems, electro-optical surveillance and tracking systems, as well as remote weapon stations.
Spanish aid to Ukraine
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine has been receiving significant aid from Spain. This aid encompasses military and humanitarian support, as well as financial assistance.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Spain will provide additional air defense systems to protect Ukraine from Russian attacks.
